So how good is Honor 8C? Is the big claim about the cell phone battery true? Should you buy it? Dive into a detailed review and provide an expert perspective.

Honor 8C Review: Great Battery and Average Camera Encounter

Design and display

Due to price differences, this device may not be as flashy and flashy as the Honor 8X, but it features an exciting and durable unibody design made of plastic.

The phone looks graceful with a matte black finish, but the Aurora Blue variation is a design statement that forms a particular shape when exposed to light. Honor calls it the “Cat’s Eye” design. On the back is a fingerprint scanner in the center of the device and a dual camera vertically placed in the upper left corner of the phone.

The unibody design makes it easy to hold and handle with one hand due to the curved edges on the back of the smartphone. However, the polycarbonate body of the handset can be easily scratched and soiled, so it is highly recommended to tap the case to protect the device.

On the normal right side of the device is the power key within reach, and just above the power key is the volume rocker. Both keys are very accessible, tall, and easy to handle, even with small hands, thanks to the latest aspect ratios on mobile phones.

On the left side of the device is a SIM tray that allows you to insert two SIM cards at the same time. Even more interesting is that it also has a dedicated memory card slot. This is something that most famous mid-rangers like Honor 10 Lite and Honor Play didn’t have.

At the bottom, you can find the speaker along with a micro USB charging port and a primary microphone. Many upper-midrange phones have a Type-C charging port and boast fast charging, but this technology hasn’t penetrated the budget category yet.

At the top of the smartphone are a beloved headphone jack and a secondary noise-canceling microphone. The lack of a Type-C port is a bit frustrating, but thankfully, the tendency to eliminate headphone jacks hasn’t reached this category yet.

The overall build quality of the phone is rugged, but it turns out to be quite slippery for those with sweaty hands. Apart from that, the honor 8C is a great performing phone in this price range.

Honor 8C boasts a 6.26-inch display. This is an IPS LCD panel that stretches with a 19: 9 aspect ratio and has a resolution of 720 x 1520. Thanks to the notch, a larger display can be attached to a relatively small body, with a screen-to-body ratio of 81.9%.

The chin of the device is a bit large, but the bezel on the side of the phone is shredded. However, even if your device, such as Face ID or IR Blaster, doesn’t have additional sensors, it’s very strange to understand why Honor adopted the traditional notch approach.

Phones from other brands in this price range have almost completely abandoned the wide notch in favor of a small drop-like notch. The Vivo Y91 is an excellent and up-to-date example of this.

However, Notch optimization is great on the phone, and unlike many other phones, Notch does not obstruct your view when watching a movie or playing a game. Each time the media content is launched, a black bar is aligned with the length of the notch at the top of the display to completely hide it for an uninterrupted viewing experience.

When it comes to displaying quality, FullHD + displays should be beautiful, but they won’t complain about the price. Even with a 720p display, the Honor 8C offers great color and contrast. All in all, honor 8c mobile price worth its value.
