Importing your own ebooks in to the Ebook Reader (iOS)

In addition to downloading and reading ebooks from eBooks.com, or downloading ebooks from your web browser and opening them in Ebook Reader, you can also import any ebooks you already have in your collection in to the Ebook Reader app (as long as they are
DRM-free
).
Importing via MacOS
Connect your device (iPad or iPhone) to your computer
Go to the Finder on your Mac
In the Finder Sidebar under Locations click on your iPad or iPhone device
Click on the Files tab
Now find the eBook file you want to load and drag/drop it to 'eBook Reader' under the Files tab
Importing via Windows
The instructions for importing the ebooks in to Ebook Reader on your iOS device from a windows PC vary slightly depending on what version of iTunes you have installed on your computer.
For iTunes 12.7.3 or higher:
Connect your device (iPad or iPhone) to your computer
Open iTunes on the computer (if it hasn't automatically opened)
Look for the rectangular iPad/iPhone device icon in the top right underneath the menu bar. Click on it
Click on "File Sharing" in the left hand menu
Select Ebook Reader
Click on the "Add File..." button
Navigate to the location of your ebook file and double-click "open".Your ebook will then be displayed in the list under "Ebook Reader Documents"
Click on "Sync" at the bottom-right of your screen. Your ebook will then be transferred from your computer to your device
Then click "Done". You can now disconnect your iPad/iPhone from your computer
Open Ebook Reader app on your device.You'll find the ebook shown in the bookshelf, along with the other ebooks that are on the device
Tap on the ebook to begin reading
For iTunes prior to 12.7.3:
Connect your device (iPad or iPhone) to your computer
Open iTunes on the computer (if it hasn't automatically opened)
Look for the name of your device in the top-right (It will say "Mary's iPad" or something similar). Click on it
Click on "Apps" tab
Scroll down to the bottom of the page. Under the heading "File Sharing" > Apps", select Ebook Reader
Click on the "Add" button
Navigate to the location of your ebook file and double-click "open".Your ebook will then be displayed in the list under "Ebook Reader Documents"
Click on "Sync" at the bottom-right of your screen. Your ebook will then be transferred from your computer to your device
Open Ebook Reader app on your device.You'll find the ebook shown in the bookshelf, along with the other ebooks that are on the device
Tap on the ebook to begin reading
Please note that once an ebook has been imported in to Ebook Reader, if you then delete it from within the Ebook Reader app this will remove the ebook from your device.
